WORKING WITH PASTORS

- Promoting the event with pastors
- Write a letter
- introduce the event and your organization
- include a sample brochure
- offer to order and deliver materials as a service
- state that you or a representative will visit
- keep it brief (1 page max)
- Call to make an appointment
- Visit
- take supporting information (tracts, info about CAC, etc.)
- be specific in what you are asking the pastor to do, such as:
- use the bulletin inserts on Jan. 18
- preach on the issue Jan. 18
- use announcement exhort congregation to get involved in a specific project you have planned
- encourage other pastors to get involved in this event
- offer to order and deliver materials as a service
- keep the visit short
